Bakuriani is a popular tourist resort in Georgia. It is located in the subtropical climatic zone at an altitude of 1700 to 2000 m above sea level. The altitude with the many coniferous forests creates ideal conditions for rest and relaxation in summer. The surrounding mountains offer many opportunities for challenging and scenic excursions and tours. In winter, Bakuriani has developed into an international winter sports center that meets Olympic standards. It is an ideal family ski area with numerous entertainment options and variety: ski jumps, trails for cross-country skiing, horseback riding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowmobiling etc.
A special attraction is the modern inclined lift, which leads to the 2,683 m high Mount Didveli, the highest mountain in the region.
