The Güssing Castle has always been an important cultural centre in southern Burgenland. Every year, the famous castle festival attracts thousands of enthusiastic spectators to the historic walls. Until the new inclined lift was put into operation, the difficult ascent to the castle was only possible by foot and was a main reason why many people couldn’t visit the castle.
The inclined lift represents the new modern generation, of innovative ascent aids:
