Control Replacement Inclined Elevator Olympic Ski Jump
Garmisch-Partenkirchen / Germany
Control conversion inclined elevator Olympic ski jump in Garmisch-Partenkirchen:
The inclined elevator at the Olympic ski jump was built by an Italian manufacturer in 2007, but was not initially completed and was then put into operation by the company Von Rotz & Wiedemar AG. After 16 years, the current service partner, Von Rotz & Wiedemar AG, based in Switzerland, approached us to replace the existing elevator control system. After clarifying all open questions, we were able to put the new control system into operation on schedule in late summer 2023.
Ski jumpers as well as tourists and workers are transported to the jump. This makes the facility an important part of the infrastructure of this monumental building. The fact that the new control can do justice to its tasks was proven during the annual New Year’s jump. At this event, 50 of the world’s best ski jumpers were successfully transported onto the launch podium at the Four Hills Tournament.
A special highlight of the inclined elevator is the carriageway arranged above the cabin. As a passenger, you get a very special experience while moving between the two stations in mid-air. Either to enjoy the excellent view over Garmisch-Partenkirchen or to compete and set new records.
