Inclined Lift Heini Klopfer Ski-Jump
Markt Oberstdorf – Sportstätten Oberstdorf, Germany
As part of the modernization of the Heini-Klopfer ski-flying jump carried out for the 2018 Nordic World Ski Championships, the existing chairlift was replaced by a barrier-free inclined lift and serves one of the largest ski jumping facilities in the world.
This lift also allowed moving the “athletes’ village” for the jumping competitions from top to the valley.
The Heini-Klopfer inclined elevator is already the third inclined lift from ABS at the ski jumping facilities in Oberstdorf.
The installation plays an important role in the tourist use of the ski jumping facility and as a climbing aid to the hiking trails around the Freibergsee.
