Innerwaldshuttle I + II
Bergbahnen Sölden, Austria
Innerwald is getting closer to Sölden: The new “Zentrum Shuttle” connects the district with the centre of Sölden quickly, comfortably and barrier-free / wheelchair accessible. The two people movers are a great addition to public transport and offer another ascent service directly from the bottom of the valley.
The latest and safest technologies are used in the systems: safety-related data transmission via radio is just as common as lightweight honeycomb technology, as it is known from aircraft construction and which is used in the attractive cabins in Sölden. Fully automatic level control keeps the cabins always horizontal.
The Innerwald shuttle has no closing time: the entire system runs automatically. This means that the entire system can be operated largely without operating or cash desk staff. This means that the People Mover can also be used outside normal operating hours. Both of the two fully glazed cabins offer space and a great view for 40 people. The undercarriage runs on the rails, which makes the cabin appear to glide directly on the rail. The total travel time is about 3 minutes, which guarantees a high transport capacity during peak times.
